VOLUNTEERS
The Rotary Club of Burlington North and The Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Foundation need volunteers to help with various roles for The Amazing Bed Race on September 25th 2011.
How can you help? We can accommodate groups or individuals. The following roles need to be filled:
Road Closure Marshals: role requirements - a mature person who can man a stewarding point and keep the spectators safely out of the path of the beds during the Parade and Race
Road Volunteers: role requirements - physically able to help move safety barriers, set up road pin and tape barriers, etc.
Pit Crew Volunteers: role requirements - help organize the decorated beds and their team members and prepare them for the start of the Parade
Start Line Volunteers: role requirements - orchestrate beds in the correct order and prepare teams for the start of the race, ensure teams and individuals are complying to rules and regulations
Finish Line Crew: role requirements - help with general organization, directing finished teams to designated areas and operating the racetrack exit gate and the Race area
Field clear-up (lots): role requirements - physically able to help remove security barriers and tape barriers, litter-pick up
Judges: role requirements - ability to judge the quality and safety of the beds based on a set of guidelines the teams are required to comply with in order to race
