In the spirit of community, families, businesses and community organizations, the Amazing Bed Race is a fun-filled event that raises funds for The Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Foundation and The Rotary Club of Burlington North. The Amazing Bed Race is just as it sounds – AMAZING! Teams race “beds” on a course on one of Downtown Burlington’s most popular streets: Brant Street.

In its first two years, the Amazing Bed Race raised over $170,000!! Last year, the event had great success with adding the Kids Stroller Race and we have decided to do it again this year!

The Kids Stroller Race which is FREE of charge will be open to kids between the ages of 4 and 12. Kids will race with their own stroller in a straight line 25 meters in length wearing proper foot wear and helmets. The Kids Stroller race will begin at 1:00 pm.

Teams that took part in the 2011 Amazing Bed Race will have a chance to pre-register between Monday March 5th and Monday April 2nd to reserve their spot in the race.

Teams will fundraise, build (or borrow) a bed, decorate it and race it in two(2) qualifying heats followed by single elimination for the top 16 qualifiers until a winner is declared.. As well as bragging rights for the fastest bed, prizes will be awarded as follows:

  3. Best Decorated Bed/Team
